Sumatra — Wild, Earthy, Untamed
On an island of rainforest and volcanic peaks, coffee has grown since the Dutch brought it to Indonesia in the 1600s. Sumatra’s heavy rains shaped a method found almost nowhere else. Farmers hull the bean while it is still wet, so it can dry in the brief hours of sun before the clouds return. Known locally as giling basah, this method gives Sumatran coffee its deep, unmistakable soul.
Our Sumatra single origin coffee is bold and grounding. A rich, earthy sweetness unfolds into deep dark chocolate and a warm hint of spice, carried by a smooth, full body that settles in slowly.
A slow cup for quiet mornings. Rich, deep, and unlike anything else.
