Where the Idea Started
Spine Coffee Club started with a familiar disappointment: paying more for a bag labeled "premium" and getting the same flat, forgettable cup as everything else on the shelf.
We looked into why, and the answer was almost always the same — most coffee is roasted weeks before it ships, blended from multiple origins to smooth over inconsistency, then left sitting in a warehouse until someone finally orders it.
So we built it the other way. Every Spine bag is single-origin — one farm, one story, a flavor you can actually point to on a map.
What began as a stubborn insistence on freshness and honesty became something bigger — a club built for people who want their coffee to mean something, one origin at a time.
We believe coffee shouldn't be anonymous.
A bag on a shelf can't tell you about the farmer who grew it, the altitude that shaped its sweetness, or the hands that sorted it cherry by cherry. So we set out to build a coffee company where the origin is the star — where the packaging and the story on the bag are as considered as what's inside it.
Three Promises Behind Every Bag
Origin Over Everything
Every coffee we offer is single-origin, chosen for its distinct character. From altitude to processing method, every detail shapes a cup with a true sense of place—never hidden behind a blend.
Roasted Only When You Order
We don't roast to a warehouse forecast. We roast to your order — small batch, shipped within days, so what arrives is closer to the roaster than anything sitting on a grocery shelf.
Packaging as Part of the Experience
We treat the bag like part of the product. Every design reflects the individuality of what's inside — because coffee this good deserves to look like it.
From Origin to Your Door
You Choose the Destination
Every origin in our lineup is its own stamp in the passport — a distinct farm, altitude, and flavor profile waiting to be discovered. The journey starts with your choice, not ours.
We Roast to Order
Once you order, your beans are roasted in small batches — never before, never "just in case." That's the difference between coffee that's fresh and coffee that's merely recent.
We Pack It Like It Matters
Every bag is sealed and labeled to travel well and look good doing it — gift-ready by design, not as an afterthought.

Not All "Specialty" Coffee Is Created Equal
Here's something most coffee bags won't tell you: "specialty coffee" isn't just a marketing word. It's a number. Under the Specialty Coffee Association's 100-point cupping scale, a lot has to score 80 or above to be called specialty at all.
the minimum SCA cupping score to be called "specialty." Anything below that line doesn't earn a stamp in our lineup.
Most coffee is also roasted weeks — sometimes months — before it reaches you, then blended to mask inconsistency. We do the opposite.
It's a slower way to run a coffee company. We think it's the only way that's honest.
